almotamar.net - Yemen's Foreign Minister Dr Abu Bakr al-Qirbi affirmed Saturday that convening the 4th Future Forum in Sana'a "enhances Yemen's role in sponsoring any constructive dialogue between governments and the civil society organisations and aims at change and development that serves the interest of their peoples and enable them to effective participation in managing their affairs without being hostage one party or another."
Dr al-Qirbi also called to get rid of fears from role of the civil society in the process of development and modernisation and exerting of efforts for consolidation of partnership with them to be an effective force supporting the government orientations in reform and development.
The minister also called for not missing between seeking for achievement of the good governance and settling political accounts that as he views as the real impediment in the realization of effective partnership between the government and civil organisations.
He stressed the necessity of discarding the phenomenon of seeking to acquire power from outside to which a small number of civil activists and organisations tend to do despite of the damage that causes to effort and success of the majority that actively go forwards towards noble goals.
The Foreign Minister said that Yemen was keen that the meeting parallel to the Future Forum to be held without interference in preparation or its proceeding and the civil organisations were granted a real margin for presenting their visions to the ministerial meeting. He considered that coincidence of Yemen's unity declaration with the democratic pluralism has made Yemen a platform for many meetings at the levels of governments and civil organisations. That came in an address the Foreign Minister delivered Saturday at the opening in Sana'a of meetings of the civil organisations forum parallel to the 4th Future Forum.
