almotamar.net - The General People's Congress (GPC)'s General Secretariat held on Saturday a meeting chaired by the GPC Secretary General Abdulqader Bajamal devoted to discussion of national and organisation issues.
At the beginning of the meeting the general secretariat stood a minute of silence in mourning the deceased Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hussein al-Ahmar, speaker of Yemen parliament and one of the most prominent founders of the GPC.

The meeting listened also to a report on the general orientations of the plan of the organisational, political and information performance of the GPC for the year 2008. The general secretariat stressed in this regard he necessity of activating, developing and intensifying activities of communication with various segments of the society to explain visions and stands of the GPC regarding different issues in the national arena, emphasizing the importance that various formations of the GPC should play effective role in stabilization concepts of moderateness and tolerance and the discard of the culture of violence, hatred \and extremism.
