Almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Wednesday received a telephone call from the Syrian President Dr Bashar al-Assad. In his telephone conversation President al-Assad offered his condolences to President Saleh and the Yemeni people on the victims of the terrorist event against the Bin Salman mosque in Saada that claimed the lives of many persons and the wounding of others. The Syrian President also condemned that criminal act and affirmed Syria’s stand by Yemen and its security, stability and unity.
The phone conversation also discussed fraternal relations and areas of cooperation and ways of enhancing them. There was also an exchange of viewpoints about developments of current Arab situations and coordination of the two countries stands for consolidation of Arab solidarity in the light of what the Damascus Arab summit has adopted.
President Saleh thanked the Syrian President for his condolences and sincere fraternal feelings.
