Almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh has Saturday affirmed the importance of coordinating Arab efforts for the containment of regrettable developments in Lebanon and work for healing the rift and realization of accord and agreement in the way serving Lebanon’s security, stability and national unity.
The President’s remarks came during his receiving in Sana’a Saturday the Syrian Prime Minister Mohammed Naji Atri and members of the Syrian delegation to meetings of the Yemen-Syrian Higher Joint Committee.
The Syrian Prime Minister conveyed a message to President Saleh from his Syrian counterpart Bashar al-Assad dealing with bilateral relation and areas of cooperation and ways of enhancing them. The message also dealt with developing the two countries relations in interest of the two peoples. The Syrian President message dealt also with developments of the currents situations in the region, especially in Lebanon, Iraq and Palestine.
The meeting discussed relations and areas of cooperation in the light of meetings of the Yemeni-Syrian Joint Higher Committee and the protocols expected to be signed for strengthening bilateral cooperation, setting up a follow-up committee and what to be agreed by the two countries in interest of the two Yemeni and Syrian peoples.
President Saleh praised the level of relations between the two countries, confirming keenness on developing them in different fields. The president asked the Syrian premier to convey his greetings to president al-Assad and his wishes for good health and happiness and for the Syrian people ever progress and prosperity.
President call for coordinating Arab efforts to contain Lebanon developments
