Almotamar.net - General Secretariat of the General People's Congress (GPC) mourned Friday the decease of the GPC leading member Ali Atif, Director of the Office of Advisor to the President of the Republic Abdulqader Bajammal, the Secretary General of the GPC. The late Atif died on Thursday evening as he cane under gunfire incident at Hada quarter in the capital Sana'a at the hands of guard members of a leader of the Islah Party. The incident also caused the injury of the GPC Deputy Head of the External Relations, the member of the General Secretariat Salem Salman who is also Industry and Trade Undersecretary.
The General Secretariat of the GPC also strongly condemned that criminal act killed the late Ali Atif, member of the GPC Permanent Committee and one of the prominent GPC cadres that has effective contributions in the national and organisational areas and was a personality recognized for efficiency in the different posts he has occupied.
The GPC General Secretariat expressed the heartfelt condolences to the deceased family and cadres of the GPC, demanding the Ministry of Interior and security apparatuses to hold the perpetrators accountable and refer them to justice to be punished for their crime in accordance with the constitution and the laws.
