Almotamar.net - Minister of Trade and Industry Khaled Sheikh launched today the second Sana’a International Exhibition in the presence of a number of ambassadors to Yemen. Under the slogan “for integrating Yemeni economy with world economy”, the exhibition includes 11countries and more than 300 local and foreign companies.
The exhibition aims to widen commercial fields between Yemen and other countries worldwide, and to introduce various products to investors, Sheikh added.
Sheikh made it clear that exhibitions like this is an effort made by the Yemeni government to help halt monopoly and integrate Yemeni economy into world economy through exchanging experiences and products.
In a statement to the motamar.net, Sheikh said, “The aim of this exhibition is to know the extent to which Yemeni economy can be integrated into world economy, as well as to know the extent of others’ desire to enter Yemeni markets.”
According to Sheikh, there are hundreds of international companies participating in the exhibition, which means Yemeni economy goes well and attracts investment. These participants can become manufacturers in Yemen, he noted.
Sheikh went on to say that there are interested Yemeni manufacturers as well as foreign manufacturers that have desire to invest in Yemen, an indication to the fact that stability in Yemen helps attract investors. “We care for organizing exhibitions like this so that we can measure the extent of regional and world economy response to the Yemeni economy. We feel happy to see large numbers of participants for the first time in this exhibition,” he explained.
For his part, Marketing Director of Apollo Exhibition said such an exhibition is the result of coordination and cooperation between the government and private sector.
