Almotamar.net - MP and Chairman of the General People's Congress (GPC) branch in Amran governorate Abdullah Badrudin on Saturday called on the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) to discard the culture of extortion and stop the policy of seizing booty before scoring victory.
Badrudin said the interest of the homeland and people in the present circumstances dictates the exercise of honest political partisan action based on programmes serving all segments of the society and away from void slogans.
Badrudin pointed out the necessity of confining competition and race of political parties to focusing on projects and activities that would safeguard the Yemen unity and protect its gains as well as the protection of its people in favour of the public interest.
He warned against consequences of fomenting seditions and problems aimed at misleading the local public opinion as a card for bidding for gaining illegal partisan and political interests those remarks made by Mr Badrudin in a meeting of the GPC leaderships in the governorate on Friday that discussed situations of the Summer Centres for youth as well a those organised by Endowments bureaus in the governorate and mechanisms for keeping activities of those centres away from partisan conflict.
JMP requested to abandon the culture of extortion
In 2007 the opposition Yemen Congregation for Reform (Islah) Islamic oriented Party maintained its having political and media sway over the Joint meeting Parties (JMP) block, also consisting of Yemen Socialist Party and the Nasserite Unionist Organisation.
