Almotamar.net - Prime Minister Dr Ali Mohammed Mujawar said Saturday the revolution of 14 October which the Yemeni people celebrate its 45th anniversary represented the extension of the revolution of 26 September that opened spacious horizons for Yemen towards the unity, prosperity and their liberation, and the realisation of their geopolitical unity, affirming that loyalty to that revolution will be in defence of their unity that was achieved via blood.
In an interview to Jordanian newspaper Ad-Dustour the Premier added, "The Yemeni unity that was restored on the 22nd of May 1990 with a genuine people's will represents one o the biggest and most important goals its revolution against the Imamate regime and the British colonization." He added," It can be said it is as the third revolution in modern and contemporary Yemen after the revolutions of 26 September 1962 and 14 October 1963."
Dr Mujawar said the unity of Yemen is safeguarded and protected by the people who strongly defended it and would never pay attention to the suspicious voices that call for division that has gone for good.
Concerning terror the Prime Minister renewed Yemen's determination to confront it saying that Yemen government and people are in continuous war with terror with all security and ideological ways so that to uproot that cancerous danger threatening the Arab and Islamic nation.
He said Yemeni security authorities are carrying their duties fully and have achieved excellent successes in this regard, that the absence of Arab and western coordination opens loopholes through which remnants of terror would enter to perpetrate operations here and there. Dr Mujawar reminded of what Yemen had suffered and is still suffering from terrorist operations. He said Yemen has been suffering from terror whether it is of al-Qaeda organisation or other terrorist organisations that raise religious slogans and that Yemen sustained huge economic and social damage and affected greatly the tourist movement.
Mujawar also said that Yemen had very early warned against danger of those organisations and demanded the necessity of establishment of international alliance for fighting terror with all of its forms.
Commenting on criticisms by the Joint Meting Parties on performance of the government politically and economically, the Prime Minister said the opposition parties in Yemen have not have not yet developed to the level of objective and constructive dialogue , querying about what had the Islah party and the Socialist Party offered when they were part of the government coalition? He said ," We in the party and government have the courage to admit failure in performance and mistakes we endeavour to surmount them with all possible means whereas the opposition does not own the courage of recognizing the shining facts," demanding parties of the JMP to rise above lies and deception as means for attaining power. He also called on the JMP to take part in the upcoming parliamentary elections and to take a practical step for participating through actively taking part in electoral committees.
The Prime Minister said if the Joint Meeting Parties would boycott the elections that mean they fear to arbitrate to ballot boxes which are the most civilised democratic way.
In response to a question on president Ali Abdullah Saleh's recent visit to Jordan and Egypt and its coincidence with sea piracy events, Dr Mujawar said the viewpoints of Yemen, Jordan and Egypt were identical on the necessity of Arab coordination to face dangers threatening the Red Sea and the emphasis on that the security of he Red Sea comes as part of the Arab national security.
