almotamar.net - Yemen Interior Ministry has announced Sunday it arrested one person wanted by security and another wanted by the Interpol over their involvement in different cases.


The Ministry mentioned that the person, 24, was arrested in the capital Sana’a Sunday in Bani Al-Harith area. The arrest followed investigations and monitoring of his movements which helped security men arrest him without resistance.

According to security information centre the wanted person for the security of the capital is of the elements that were included a special directory issued recently by the Interior Ministry’s Security Sector.

On the other hand, security authorities in Seyoun district, Hadramout governorate mentioned that they arrested a person Abdullah al-Saeeri in the light of a memo by the Interpol in Riyadh on his being accused of committing a murder crime of the called Saad Hassan Hamoudi al-Saeeri in 2006 and escaped from then, indicating that they have referred him to undergo legal procedures.

On the other hand a car accident lately in al-Feel area near al-Wadia border crossing disclosed an operation for smuggling drugs to Saudi Arabia. Security authorities in Seyoun mentioned that the car, carrying 49 sacks of hashish and a large quantity of intoxicating drugs, collided with another car carrying a Saudi plate. The accident led to injury of the driver smuggling the drugs and he was rescued very quickly by another unidentified car that was accompanying his car. Security men said they believe that the other car was accomplice in the smuggling operation of drugs to Saudi Arabia. They added the car carrying drugs was left behind along with the car that was carrying five Saudis whom were giver first aid after the accident in a Saudi hospital on the border area.


Security authorities in the district of Seyoun opened investigation into the case are were still hunting down those involved in the drug smuggling crime.
