Almotamar.net - Organisation of Islamic Conference OIC’s foreign minister on Monday condemned all acts and calls aimed against Yemen’s stability, unity and democracy, affirming at the conclusion of their 36th session in the Syrian capital Damascus on Monday the support and backing up of the Islamic states for Yemen’s unity and stability.
Meanwhile, the OIC foreign ministers they expressed support of their states for efforts of the government for realization of development and national reform programmes.
On his way back to Sana’a the Yemeni foreign minister Dr Abu Bakr al-Qirbi, and his accompanying delegation, after taking part in the OIC foreign ministers meeting, concluded in Damascus on Monday said the conference issued a resolution supporting Yemen’s unity and refusing and denouncing all attempts against Yemen’s stability, unity and democracy. The decision also condemned the calls fomenting hatred and violence among the population of the one homeland and supported efforts of the Yemeni government for the achievement of development and the programme of the national reform.
The minister added that Yemen’s participation in the conference and works of the special committee was active. He added that Yemen speech at the meeting confirmed solidity and safety of the Yemeni unity and capability of protecting and preserving it as it had done in 1994 against the secessionist elements that have resumed the cal for the secession in violation of the constitution and the law and via adoption of the way of violence and fomenting hatred.
Dr al-Qirbi said he also discussed with the Secretary General of the OIC Dr Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu and a number of Islamic countries foreign ministers relations of bilateral cooperation besides resolutions of the ministerial meeting.
