The two men discussed means for enhancing relations of cultural exchange in the field of scientific research and academic cooperation between Yemen universities and the University of Mara.
The Yemeni official got informed the university experience in the process of academic assessment and quality of educational programmes , stressing keenness of the Yemeni ministry of higher education and scientific research on cementing the its relations with the Malaysian government universities as they are considered to have traversed a big distance in this field.
Dr Mutahar also affirmed the importance of exchanging academic visits by members of the teaching staff in Mara University and Yemeni Universities for exchanging expertise and enhancement of relations of cooperation in the scientific research.
For his part Dr Abu Shat reviewed a brief account on stages of development of Mara University educational programmes and level of the scientific research in it, affirming the university readiness to raise the capacity of accepting Yemeni students in higher studies and praised level of Yemeni students performance in comparison with foreign communities students at the university. He added that Yemen's strategic position qualifies it o be a centre attracting investment in education area via attracting students of university studies in the Gulf and Horn of Africa states to study in the Yemeni universities.
