Almotamar.net - Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council GCC Abdulrahman Bin Hamad al-Attiyah said on Monday that Yemen occupies a special status for the GCC and the GCC states support Yemen's unity and stability, "Yemen's security is inseparable part of security of the GCC states."
In his meeting in Riyadh with Yemen's ambassador to Saudi Arabia Mohammed Ali Muhsin al-Ahwal on the eve of convening the 112 session of the GCC ministerial Council at the level of foreign ministers to begin on Tuesday in Jeddah, al-Ahwal informed al-Attiyah on latest developments in the confrontations with the rebellion and destruction gangs in Saada.
The ambassador put al-Attiyah in the picture of what is going on in Saada after the Yemeni government exhausted all peaceful ways with the gang of rebellion and destruction and gave that gang several opportunities, the latest of which the six points proposed by the government but this gang continued in blocking roads and aggression on citizens and their properties that forced the government to carry out its constitutional duty in protecting security and stability of the homeland.
In the meeting the Yemeni ambassador conveyed greetings of the Yemeni foreign minister Dr Abu Bakr al-Qirbi and Yemen's leadership, government and people appreciation of the role of the GCC states for preserving Yemen's unity, security and stability and appreciation of the efforts of al-Attiyah for Yemen accession to new GCC organisations.
