Almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Monday addressed a letter to the Chairman of the Shoura Council calling for beginning a serious and responsible national dialogue at the Council by all political and social activities and civil society organisations on the 26th of December 2009 on all the issues that concern the homeland, under the ceiling of the constitutional legitimacy and commitment to the national constants.
The message, a copy of I t quoted by 26september.net mentioned that proceeding from “ our previous and repeated call on the importance of tackling that concern the homeland via dialogue and the latest of which came in the statement to the masses of the people on the 19th national Day of the Yemeni republic and the reunification of the homeland and the call included in out address on Eid Al-Adha and the 30th Day of the Independence and what was approved by National Defense Council , and out of the sense of national responsibility and in response to all calls presented by the good forces in the society and due to requirements of the higher national interest and out of our feeling of the national rand constitutional responsibility we call for a serious and responsible dialogue among all the p[political and a social activities and civil society organisations on 26 December 2009 on all the issues concern the homeland. The dialogue should be held under the ceiling of the constitutional legitimacy and commitment to the national constants in the manner that would achieve large national alignment and in implementation of that the dialogue should be under the dome of the Shoura Council.
The letter said the dialogue should be participated by,
-members of the Shoura Council,
-political parties and organisations registered with parties ‘affairs committee,
-22 personalities of scholars,
-heads of parliamentary blocs,
-the first responsible of each civil society organization,
-22 personalities of sheikhs and social figures,
-secretaries general of local councils of Yemen provinces.
President call for beginning of serious &responsible national dialogue 
In 2007 the opposition Yemen Congregation for Reform (Islah) Islamic oriented Party maintained its having political and media sway over the Joint meeting Parties (JMP) block, also consisting of Yemen Socialist Party and the Nasserite Unionist Organisation.
