Almotamar.net - More than 30 elements of al-Qaeda organization were killed on Thursday in an air force jets raid on a camp of al-Qaeda terrorist organisation in Shabwa province. This is the second operation of its kind in less than ten days targeting al-Qaeda cells in Yemen.
The operation was carried out at 4:00 am on Thursday that targeted elements affiliate of al-Qaeda organisation of Yemeni and foreign nationalities in Rafs area, the district of Al-Saeed. The elements of the organisation were gathering there and were present with them terrorist Nasser al-Wahshi and of the Saudi nationality Said al-Shahri.
The security pre-emptive operation came for aborting a terrorist scheme of those elements include the implementation of a number of terrorist operations aimed to target a number of Yemeni and foreign interests and important economic installations in addition to attacking military and security commands as a retaliatory reaction to the operation carried out by security apparatuses last Thursday in Arhab, Abyan and the capital which resulted in killing about 34 of al-Qaeda elements and the arrest of 26 other terrorist elements .
A source at the High Security Committee said on Thursday the security apparatuses would continue hunting down the terrorist elements and foiling their criminal plots aimed at threatening the homeland and citizens security and their interests as well as the society’s peace.
The source has also reaffirmed his warning against harbouring or offering any shelter of help to al-Qaeda organisation elements in implementing their terrorist operations.
The source also warned the citizen from being present near those terrorist elements or their hideouts in preservation of their safety during targeting of terrorist elements.
