Almotamar.net - The Specialized First instance Criminal Court fixed the date of 6 February 2010 to pronounce sentence in the case of terrorist fixed the date of 6 February 2010 to pronounce sentence in the case of terrorist Yahya al- Houthi.
In the court session on Sunday chaired by Judge Muhsin Mohammed Alwan, the general prosecution presented its final statement and asked the court to fix the date for passing the sentence in the case and to give the utmost legal punishment. The defence lawyer Abdul Sallam al-Maruni presented his final defence asking acquittal of the defendant. The court decided the 6th of next February for passing its sentence.
The general prosecution had accused defendant Yahya Badrudin al-Houthi of taking part in an armed terrorist gang for carrying out criminal acts in a number of Yemen areas and the capital by preparing all necessary means such as weapons, ammunition and explosives and means of transport and communication devices.
In its indictment of terrorist al-Houthi that he led the terrorist elements to implement a criminal plot for killing a number of citizens, members of armed forces and security , destruction and plundering public and private properties, aggression on constitutional institutions , attack on a number of personalities, among them the American ambassador, disobedience of laws and spreading news disturbing public peace and security and seeking help from foreign parties against the state and receiving financial support for carrying out their criminal plan.
