Almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh has emphasized that the Yemeni unity was founded to stay and protected by the will of the people and there is not worry about it from any tempests or bubbles emerging every now and then.

In his response to a question on the situations in the southern and eastern provinces, President Saleh said, “The situation in the southern and eastern provinces is ordinary and some media outlets rage or magnify what happens in Yemen, as it is considered a democratic country, whether those were sits-in or demonstrations or protests, happen in Yemen as it happens in any country in the world.”

In an interview to Al-Jazeera satellite TV channel following his visit on Sunday to Doha adder ,Qatar, the President added , “ There may happen some problematic in any province or district or wrong practices by outlaw elements , and that does not call for any concern. “
He has further said, “Those who call for secession or try to return with the homeland to that of before 22 May, are a group of persons
That had tried and lost war of 1994 summer and they have no place among the sons of the Yemeni people , the forefront of who are the sons of the southern and eastern provinces , all are with the unity and those discordant sounds are but bubbles come to surface from time to time. ´

On what the some are submitting of calls for federalism ,the President said, “ We had previously said it would have been supposed that the concept of federalism to be discussed before the achievement of he merger reunification and so that to begin the unity with federalism leading to the merger unity , but now and after 20 years of this national and nationalist accomplishment , such ideas are considered an apostasy from the merger unity , the unity was founded to survive whatever the tempests or challenges were. “

With regard to efforts for establishment of peace and stability in Saada, the President made it clear that he Houthis have previously violated the law and order through the past six years and six wars erupted but they, after the state proposed six points for ending the sedition n of sabotage and rebellion, declared their commitment to implement those condition and according to that the military operations were stopped and “we consider the matter as ended.”

In his reply to a question on accusing Iran o standing behind hat sedition, the President said, “Regretfully that interpretation is wrong. We did not direct the accusation officially to the regime in Iran or any other regime but to some religious authorities of supporting the Houthis in instigating the sedition. “

The President has denied as groundless what the some claim that the Arab states have linked offering of assistance to support development in Yemen to t conducting national reconciliation and fighting terror, saying,” What is said in this regard is not true, the Arabs did not link assistance for development in Yemen to any conditions, and in general the Arab assistance is not as large as others believe. We depend on agreements with the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council states that offer generous aid for supporting the process of development in Yemen. “

On the objective of visiting the state of Qatar on Sunday, “My visit to Qatar comes out of the consideration that Qatar is a sisterly country and His Highness Emir Hamad Nin Khalifa is a brother and dear friend and has honourable stands, moreover, Qatar and its government have honourable stands for supporting Yemen, at the forefront of those stands is its siding with the Yemeni unity especially in the war of the summer of 1994. This stand was and still has very big impression in Yemen; leadership, government and people.”

He added that the visit came within the frame of exchanged visits and cooperation between the two countries.

President Saleh praised Qatar’s support for development in Yemen, saying Qatar is of the major supporters for development and investment in Yemen and had taken part in the donor Conference in London in 2006 and took part in meetings of Yemen partners for development in Yemen in this year and “we pin our hope on continuation of our brethren n the GCC in supporting the process of envelopment in Yemen.”
