Almotamar.net, Saba - President Ali Abdullah Saleh pointed out on Monday that the terrorism is a danger on the development, national unity, culture, tourism and all things related to development, stressing that there is no development in the presence of terrorism.
This came in his speech during a ceremony organized by the Center of Omar's Mosque for Research and Studies in the city of Mukala, Hadramout province, for honoring winners of the President's Award for Scientific Research for 2009.
In his speech, President Saleh stressed the importance of cooperation of the all with the local authority to consolidate the security and stability in this province.
"People want development and investments in this province and in the rest of provinces and this will be only by the concerted efforts of citizens to consolidate the pillars of security and stability and combating terrorism", said Saleh.
The tourism and investments have been hit by few extremist terrorist elements in some provinces, President Saleh added noting that the terrorism has no religion or homeland, hut aims to destabilize the security and stability of the country.
"No one knows what are they seeking? Are they political forces? If they are political forces, they have to adhere to the law and order. Their terrorist acts do not affect any one, but Yemen's sons", President Saleh said.
President Saleh stressed the importance of the citizens' role in responding to acts of terrorism and combating crime.
"Everyone should stand together with the security men and report any terrorist acts, because terrorism harms in the first place citizens and their security and stability", he added.
With respect to the development process, Saleh said " We are ready to make efforts for that and contact with the owners of the national capital from the sons of Hadramout, who are expatriates in the GCC countries to invest in Sana'a, Aden, Taiz, Hadramout and Hodeidah and they only want security and stability, so all should cooperate with the local authorities and the security services in this aspect".
