Almotamar.net, Saba - The Human Rights Ministry affirmed on Wednesday that the Amnesty International (AI)'s report issued recently on Yemen, titled "Yemen.Repression under pressure", contained unreal information and relied on fallacies and untruths.
This came in a statement issued by the ministry on Wednesday, which Saba got a copy of it.
The ministry pointed out that the information contained in the report does not serve the distinguished efforts made by the political leadership to promote the reality of rights and freedoms in Yemen.
"In an attempt arousing amazement and many question marks, those who prepared the report have listed a number of contradictions about facts that did not occur and events that are not accompanied with evidences", the ministry added.
The ministry said that though Yemen always welcome reports of international organizations aiming to draw attention to violations that harm people's rights and freedoms, it would not tolerate any errors or distortions that create a different picture of the reality of the situation, the ministry pointed out.
"It is unfortunate that Yemen is depicted by the report as a country, which represses rights and freedoms and combats terrorism at the expense of human rights. The report described the legal efforts as a state terrorism", the ministry said.
The statement confirmed that the ministry of Human Rights has constructive cooperation relationship with the AI and other organizations, which are based on transparency and clarity.
"Do producers of the report see that it is fair protecting terrorist and saboteurs and endangering people's rights ,freedoms, blood and honor to non-humanitarian tampering?", the ministry wondered.
