Almotamar.net - The National Supreme Anti-Corruption Commission (NSACC) has in cooperation with Yemen first organisation organized a symposium where relevant number of working papers was presented.
In the opening of the symposium the head of information sector at the NSACC Yassin Abdeh Saeed said celebration of the world day of anticorruption is considered a suitable opportunity for joining efforts and uniting the ranks for fighting corruption and curbing its dissemination.
He has also called for the active partnership with various information establishments and civil society organisations as they are considered prominent parties of the national system working for toughening the monitoring and enhancement of integration, saying the national need is dire for practicing monitoring press.
Saeed said the Commission referred 30 cases of corruption and senior officials to prosecution of anticorruption for investigation in into them and sending them to judiciary.
He indicated that the process of anticorruption is not restricted and a responsibility of certain side but social responsibility and national development and ad anticorruption should join forces.
For his part the assistant secretary general of Yemen First organisation Muamar al-Eryani called for contribution of the civil society in anticorruption and staving off dangers of it.
The symposium reviewed three working papers on role of the civil society in combating corruption, the role of the media in awareness in fighting corruption and a study of media outlets of the phenomenon of corruption. The study criticized role of the civil society organisations concerned with anticorruption through practicing other activities other than anticorruption.
