Almotamar.net - The Yemeni Vice President (VP) Abid Rabu Mansour Hadi has affirmed Tuesday that opposition parties in various countries of the world always demand forwarding the elections when they want the change but the opposition in Yemen demands extension of the parliament, and that has its obvious indications and meanings.

The VP touched on what the opposition is arousing of excuses and intrigues, affirming that following February 2009 agreement the opposition requested postponement of the elections for preparing the political stage for the elections and afterwards submitted problems of some Saada districts instigated by al-Houthi, then talked about the Movement in its different shapes and various demands, some of which reach violation of the law and order and blocking roads.

He added the opposition in the world submits s it programs on national basis to the people to support or refuse them but the opposition in Yemen demands extending the term of the parliament.

The VP, “ Today we tell them the p[postponement was done in February 2009 on basis that the constitution does not allow another postponement and in fact is their identity because each of these [parties has its own agenda on different political matters and the country would not bear and the economic situation is difficult but some want going to anarchy and constitutional vacuum and that necessitates decisively going to the parliamentary elections in its fixed date in 2011 and there is no bargaining on that.”

Those remarks of the VP came in a meeting of the VP in Hudeida on Tuesday with the governor of Hudeida province, secretary general of the local council, deputy governor, chief of security, and members of the local councils, directors of the province districts and administrative, military and security leaders in the province.

The VP talked to them saying,” We are meeting today to inaugurate a scientific programme in which we fix the goals and policies connected to various topics of work and development programmes in its both services and economic parts and related to people life, what they need and aspire for. “

Hadi has also conveyed greetings of the President Ali Abdullah Saleh, indicating the importance of the joint and serious work, determining the tasks and diagnosing the mistakes and shortages as well as the origins of failure in order to raise the level of performance.

The VP stressed the importance of utter work for providing projects of infrastructure that meet life and of the people life basically more important education, general communications ,roads, health , waters and electricity.

For his part, the governor of Hudeida province welcomed the VP and his patronage of the meeting to see what was achieved in the province in the local; development and to study requirements and needs of the province and the difficulties facing the local authority inn the local development area.
