Almotamar.net, Saba - The Cabinet adopted on Tuesday a series of decisions and actions to address status of the Land Transport Institutions in the capital Sana'a, Aden and Hadramout provinces.
This came during the Cabinet's meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Ali Mujawar, where the government stressed the continuation of the public sector in playing its role besides the private sector in the field of land transport.
The Cabinet directed the concerned ministers to use a specialized consulting firm to prepare a comprehensive analytical study for these institutions in order to identify imbalances and deficiencies in them, and then propose alternatives to address their conditions so as to enable them to practice their activity.
Moreover, the Cabinet instructed not to act in the lands of the three institutions for any other purposes, including selling, pointing out that the consulting firm should study this matter and submit the appropriate perception to exploit them optimally for the benefit of these institutions.
With respect to conditions of the employees on loan in the economic units that have been re-structured after the end of the loan period, the Cabinet taken several decisions to address their situation, so as to enable them to receive all their financial rights.
In addition, the Cabinet approved a set of measures to address the conditions of the Public Institutions for Spinning and Weaving Industry in both Sana'a, and Aden, including converting the two institutions into stock companies between the State, represented by Ministry of Trade and Industry, and two strategic partners from the private sector.
In this regard, the Cabinet also instructed using a consulting firm to study the status of the two institutions and determine the value of their assets and property and the value of the investment program required to modernize, develop and operate the new stock companies.
The Cabinet stressed that the consulting firm should be selected through the announcement and the competitive process and full transparency.
