Almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh has received Thursday the U.S. ambassador to Yemen Gerald Feierstein who conveyed to the President a message from the American Secretary of State Hillary Clinton dealing with bilateral relations and cooperation between Yemen and the United States of America.
In her message Clinton praised the positive initiative announced by the President on Wednesday before the joint meeting of the parliament and Shoura Council, in which he called for dialogue.
Clinton considered the initiative as significant step that would have its deep impact on Yemen’s future and its people, affirming support of the United States to the call of the President for the dialogue and reform steps.
The U.S. Secretary of State praised the results of the visit she paid lately to Yemen and the fruitful talks she held with officials in Yemen, affirming the U.S. keenness on enhancing its relations with Yemen at different political, economic and development levels and in the area of combating terror and supporting Yemen’s efforts in the development, democratic and combating terror areas.
Clinton has also praised the efforts of Yemen it has exerted in the area of combating terror.
