(thenews)- - SLAMABAD: President Gen Pervez Musharraf Friday congratulated his Yemenese counterpart Ali Abdullah Saleh as he becomes the president of Yemen for the second term.

In his message to Ali Abdullah Saleh, President Musharraf said that the continuation of his duties as the president of Yemen is a manifest proof of his people�s trust in him.

President Musharraf said Pakistan and Yemen enjoy close and friendly relationships and he hopes the perpetuity of these relations under the judicious leadership.
