Almotamar Net - The British Council in Sana'a and its partners in the European Film Festival 2005 announced on Monday that the
EuropeanFilm Festival will run on 3 December in Aden.

The annual Festival presents some of the best film-making in Europe inrecent years. The countries which are participating in the
festival aremore than ever before.

Ten Festival will offer British, German, Austrian, Finland, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish and Turkish films.

In previous years, the Festival has presented films refer to only countries which have diplomatic representatives in Yemen, but this
year the Festivalwill also feature films from European Union countries which are not representedin Yemen such as Austria and
Finland.

As Britain currently holds the Presidency of the European Union, the British entry will open the Festival.

The British Council is delighted to be holding the Yemeni premiere of Bader Ben Hirsi's "A New Day in Old Sana'a", a Yemeni-British co-production, that was shot last year in Old Sana'a. It was the first ever Yemeni-made feature film.
