At a joint press conference with his Jordanian counterpart Dr Maarouf al-Bakhit at the end of meetings of the 12th session of the Yemeni Jordanian Joint Higher Committee on Tuesday Mr. Bajammal called to develop the standard of Arab-Arab relations to encounter the challenges, pointing out the example of the Yemeni-_Jordanian relations and keenness of the two countries' leaderships on consolidating the existing relations of cooperation.
Bakjamal renewed the yenned republic's welcome of play an effective role in reaching a settlement of the disputes between the two parties of the political equation in Palestine, confirming that Yemen is ready for hosting a dialogue table grouping the two movements of Fatah and Hamas at the time they have decided to come to Sana'a to hold a constructive dialogue. The prime minister also renewed the Yemeni call for establishment of an Arab union called by President Ali 'Abdullah Saleh stressing of the Arab League's development to be able to undertake its tasks and indicated the importance of effective framing of the joint Arab action system within an Arab union. On the results of meetings of the 12th session of the Jordanian-Yemeni Higher Committee Mr. Bajammal confirmed success of the meetings and their reaching at an effective programmed action that would give more liveliness to relations of cooperation between the two countries. He indicated that the two sides agreed on establishment of the Yemeni-Jordanian University in Aden and enhancement cooperation in medicinal industries and building joint medical projects contributing to develop benefit by both sides.
The Jordanian Prime Minister Dr al-Bakhit lauded the results of the meetings indicating that the two countries agreed on a special program system and more practical for guaranteeing implementation of agreements signed by the two countries through concentration on specific joint projects.
