almotamar.net Google News - Palestinian sources in the West Bank city of Nablus announced Tuesday that three peace activists of the International Solidarity Movement (ISM) have been released Tuesday shortly after being abducted by unknown gunmen in the city.
Governor of Nablus, Kamal Elshaikh, confirmed three American women, members of the ISM, have been already released shortly after having been kidnapped.

Media reports said the three activists have been taking pictures on the outskirts of Balata refugee camp in the city, when they have been kidnapped. The women used to take part in protests against the �notorious� Israeli separation barrier (Apartheid Wall).

The sources believed that the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) has been behind the abduction, yet the PFLP officially denied any responsibility.

In released statements, both the PFLP and Fatah denied totally any responsibility for the incident, making clear that such actions are intended at distorting the Palestinian people�s image in the West Bank, where Palestinians and internationals are struggling for the removal of the Apartheid Wall.

Abduction of foreign people including press has been omnipresent in the Gaza Strip over the past several months; however, all the abductions have been personal-motivated and had nothing to do with Palestinian resistance factions.
