Almotamar Net - Yemens foreign minister Dr Abu Bakr al-Qirbi said Saturday the Gulf Cooperation Council represents distinguished experiment that its member states were able to make qualitative achievements in development and modernisation in political, economic, educational and social areas as well as in security cooperation which positively was reflected on security, stability and prosperity of the member states peoples. On the 26th anniversary of the establishment of the GCC on 25 May 1981 the Yemeni foreign minister praised the achievements realized by the GCC at all levels. He pointed out that the GCC is considered a sole regional grouping that managed to stand fast in the face of all challenges and dangers the region has faced.

Dr al-Qirbi said the Yemeni-Gulf relations are presently witnessing the most flourishing period and they are moving in a continuous mobility.

The minister added "We and our brothers in the GCC focus on more cooperation and Yemen accession to other GCC establishments and above that concentration on increasing and integration of economic and trade interests between Yemen and the GCC States through direct developmental support or Gulf investments in Yemen that will create economic growth and job opportunities for the youth. Matters are progressing satisfactorily by virtue of stances of President Ali Abdullah Saleh and the efforts exerted by the GCC secretary general Abdulrahman Al-Attiyah."
