Almotamar Net - Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdulrahman Bin Hamad al-Attiyah said Saturday the relations between Yemen and the GCC have traversed long distances on the road of achieving the real partnership and there are tracks the two sides are working to finalise them.

Al-Attiyah who was speaking on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the establishment of the GCC on 25 May 1981, made it clear that the coming stages will witness activation areas of cooperation between Yemen and the GCC countries towards consolidating the Yemeni-Gulf partnership on the ground.

The GCC Secretary-General expressed his confidence in the keenness of Yemen and the Gulf on stabilizing their relations according to what he said a strategic perspective rather than a tactical one. He said there is another track related to the conference of exploring investment opportunities that was held in Sana'a and achieved results "we have not expected."

Al-Attiyah also expressed his appreciation of the generous support the Gulf march is from leaders of the GCC States, affirming keenness of the Council states leaders on completing forms of cooperation in all fields.
