Almotamar Net - Director-General of Arab States Broadcasting Union Saladin Maawi said Saturday the Yemeni Establishment for Broadcasting and Television sent its apology that Yemeni TV programmes  will not participated in the Arab Festival competition for Broadcasting and Television to be held in Tunisia on 2-7 June. In his press conference held in Tunis on Friday Maawi clarified that the Yemeni side apology came because the changes it made in leadership of the Yemeni Establishment of Broadcasting and Television and that Yemeni available programmes are not qualified for taking part in the competition but he confirmed there will be a Yemeni official attendance in all activities of the festival.

Meanwhile the Yemeni broadcasting is to take part in two radio programmes.

A number of Arab official Broadcasting and Television Establishments take part in the festival organised by Arab States Broadcasting Union in cooperation with the Tunisian Broadcasting and Television. The festival is held every two years and considered a gathering for encouraging broadcasting and television production and to strengthen relations among these Arab establishments.
