Almotamar.net - The Yemeni planning and international cooperation ministry said the Yemeni economy witnessed positive development in its infrastructure during the latest years by virtue of the Arab Gulf states support aimed at qualifying the Yemeni economy and it's joining it gulf counterpart.

The planning undersecretary Hisham Sharaf described Wednesday the Gulf steps in this regard as supporting in the direction of qualification of the Yemeni economy to join the economies of the Gulf Cooperation Council states. He described evolution of the economic and development relations between Yemen and the GCC states as reflection of positive growth of political relations.

Mr. Sharaf told almotamar.net that Yemen hopes that the session 103 of the GCC foreign ministers next Tuesday in Riyadh to adopt the required stand for qualifying the Yemeni economy in accordance with the latest Gulf summits.

On the other hand the Yemeni foreign ministry undersecretary for the Arab Homeland Affairs welcomed the positive steps aimed to Yemeni economy joining its Gulf counterpart especially after the qualitative leap Yemen has achieved after the London donor conference and the conference on exploration of investment opportunities in Yemen.

Foreign undersecretary Ali al-Ghafari told almotamar.net the Gulf material and moral support for qualifying the Yemeni economy motivates Yemen to exert more efforts for the growth of its economy strongly and better.

It is scheduled that the GCC foreign ministers council to hold its 103 session in Riyadh next Tuesday under chairmanship of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, president of the current session of the GCC.

The ministers will discuss the steps that have been taken for qualifying the Yemeni economy to join economies of the GCC.
