The candidate of the ruling General People�s Congress won today the last vacant seat of the Yemeni parliament, according to the Supreme Commission for Elections and Referenda.

Khalid Majoud Taha Al-Saadi of the GPC secured the seat on behalf of division 227 in the province of Raimah with 10,896 votes compared to 7,376 for his rival from the opposition Islah party. He will be taking the place of his father whose death prompted this complementary election in the Raimah
