official source in Yemen said on Saturday that 11 Yemeni pilgrims have died in the stampede in this year's hajj season in Saudi Arabia, in whih nearly 400 pilgrims perished as they performed the stonning of the symbol of devil known as the Jamarat ritual last Thursday.

At least two million muslim pilgrims annually travel to Saudi Arbia to perform the once in a lifetime religious obligation.

The Awqaf ministry said five of the dead yemenis were members of the hajj mission while the other six are residents of Saudi Arabia.
