Almotamar.net - Yemen's Prime Minister Ali Mahmoud Mujawar on Monday said the question of trade cheating and illegal imitation of trademarks posed a great danger to the consumer and commercial activity in Yemen and necessitated to seriously work for fighting them.

He demanded the private sector and civil organisations to join forces with the government efforts for curbing the phenomenon of trade fraud and to sense the importance of sharing the feeling of the danger and damage of this phenomenon so that Yemen can achieve broad social participation leading to sustainable development and overcoming challenges and impediments of development.

That came in his address at the opening of the second scientific symposium on trade cheating organised Monday by the Yemeni society for consumer protection. The symposium was attended by government sides and similar organisations in a number of Arab Gulf states. The prime minister stressed the government keenness on dealing with proposals and recommendations of the symposium and working for finding ways of developing and adopting them.
