almotamar.net - Almotamar.net on Friday learned from diplomatic sources that holding the 4th future Forum that was scheduled to convene in Yemen this week has been postponed until January 2008.
The sources told almotamar.net the p [postponement was because a number of foreign ministers of participating countries are engaged with other conferences coinciding with the date of the convention date of the forum in Sana'a.
The sources added that a number of foreign ministers of participant countries in the forum have asked the official sides supervising organisation of the conference to postpone its date out of their keenness to attend it.
The Future Forum that forms an important political demonstration is one of the important political conferences held annually in the Middle East and North Africa region. It was held in Morocco in 2004, in Bahrain in 2005, Jordan in 2006 and usually attended by the G-8 countries foreign ministers in addition to foreign ministers of the Middle East and North Africa countries.
Yemen played a role in preparation for the previous conferences in its capacity as member of the tripartite committee of the countries of supporting democratic dialogue composed of Yemen, Turkey and Italy. The tripartite committee emerged from meetings of the G-8 summit held in Sea Island, USA in 2004.
On the other hand meetings of the forum parallel to the Future Forum begin in Sana'a Saturday. The conference will begin with an official opening ceremony for the forum meetings organised by the Yemeni civil society.
The conference is to be attended by around 300 participants from various Arab countries in addition to Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, the G-8 countries and representative for the United Nations, the Arab League, non-governmental international organisations and regional organisations.
