Hosted in a programme produced by a Qatari establishment for education, sciences and society development, broadcast by the Qatari satellite channel, al-Attiya said "Yemen is member in many of Gulf committees and we in the GCC work with it for incorporation of its economy with the region's economies and the GCC states pledged at the donor conference to finance the its infrastructure projects. The GCC states pledged t allocates $2.7 billion, the GCC states offered for the development o the infrastructure. "

Responding to a question by an Omani young man on the reason why not bringing Yemeni labour instead of the Asian, al-Attiya affirmed that the Yemeni labour is wanted in the Gulf but it is contributing to development of infrastructure projects in Yemen. He added that under development process in the GCC states Yemen is also in need of labour contributes to develop its infrastructure projects in which the Gulf states are participating materially," we agree that skilled labour is requested in the Gulf whether it were from Yemen or others but the important thing is that foreign labour must not have negative impact on future of the region and our need for the Yemeni labour is demanded and sure."
