almotamar.net - The Higher Committee of the opposition Yemeni Congregation for Reform (Islah) Party held its meeting Monday chaired by deputy of the committee Mohammed Abdullah al-Yadoumi, the first ordinary meeting after the decease of its chairman the late Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hussein al-Ahmar.
A statement issued by the meeting said the Higher Committee considered the vacancy of chairmanship of the committee and reviewed provisions of rules of procedure. The statement added that out of provisions of the rules of procedure stipulating the election of the committee chairman the specialty of the general conference of the party and out of its commitment to rules of the Islah, the Higher Committee entrusted leadership of the committee to the deputy chairman Mohammed Abdullah al-Yadoumi until the convention of the next general conference that will elect a new chairman of the Higher Committee.
