Al-Barakani and Ghanim expressed the deep sorrow felt by leaderships of the GPC on the departure of Dr George Habash, indicating to the close relations that were between Habash and leaderships of the GPC.

The two GPC leaders praised the struggling roles that Habash played for the Palestinian issue during his life and affirmed the GPC's stand by the Palestinian people in their legitimate struggle against the Israeli occupier for getting their rights and establishment of their independent state with Al-Quds as its capital.
