At the beginning of the sitting chaired by Judge Muhsin Mohammed Alwan the prosecution displayed seized materials related to the case and were captured in possession of some defendants and most of them in the house defendants Jaafar al-Marhabi and his brother Mohammed al-Marhabi. The materials included a number of empty glass bottles , a sack full of gray chemical powder that is a mixture of R.T.H. and T.N.T. materials, Motorola devises for contact over 300 meters, 110 wireless telephones used in remote detonation in addition to acids, in addition to detonators electric resistors defensive and offensive grenades and Kalashnikov rifle.

The court also allowed the prosecution to display seized evidence belonging to defendant Andulkarim al-Khaiwani and included 18 CDs containing pictures and scenes of Saada war labeled "Crimes of the Authority" and a recorded tape of contacts between al-Khaiwani and Ali al-Maqaleeh as well as a pad of paper containing names of insurgents participating in Saada war. Al-Khaiwani said he preserves his right to rely till the next session so that to be able to bring up his lawyer.

Defendant Jaafar al-Marhabi said he refuse the trial because the prosecutor is the judge and the defendants began chanting the slogan of ' Death to America, Death to Israel ' and that was after the court asked the first defendant on his stance.
