almotamar.net - Chairman of the Shoura Council Abdulaziz Abdulghni praised on Tuesday the establishment of a Yemeni-Gulf medical society for continuous medical teaching and training and the work for modernizing text subjects at the colleges of medicine as part of cooperation between Yemeni and Gulf universities.
In the opening of the third Yemeni-Saudi conference for immunity and allergy diseases in Sana�a Tuesday Mr Abdulghani affirmed the importance of enhancing communication between scientists and doctors specialized in diseases of immunity and allergy through the centres concerned with this type of diseases the latest of which is the centre that Sana�a University has lately established.
He has also praised the most important medical subjects that the conference would discuss in its meetings saying that would represent one of the mechanisms allowing medicine workers the opportunity to update their information and exchange their expertise.
Abdulghani also pointed out that health care has formed one of the essential priorities of the state and the government and the society in Yemen. He lauded the cooperation of the universities of Sana�a and Abdulaziz that resulted in holding this conference and viewed it as a reflection of the excellent level of cooperation and integration existing between Yemen and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states in the health area.
The Minister of Public Health and Population Dr Abdulkarim Rasie said on his part that the diseases of immunity and allergy spread largely among different age groups and the matter requires diagnosis and treatment always.
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr Saleh Basurra said the conference will come out with practical results useful in treatment of those diseases, hoping for building a centre specialized in these diseases at Sana�a University.
On his part the Chairman of the Saudi Scientific Committee Dr Harb al-Harfi al-Balawi affirmed that continuation of holding joint Yemen Saudi conferences in particular and with the Gulf States in general expresses accord and coherence as well as the willingness in continuation of relations, expressing his hope for expanding this conference e to include scientists from other Arab countries.
