Almotamar.net - The Yemen Vice-President Abid Rabu Mansour Hadi on Sunday affirmed the importance of the big democratic step announced by President Ali Abdullah Saleh concerning the election of governors. He said this move will take the country to the local rule system with large powers, considering this a qualitative leap on the road of development, growth and curbing of centralization.
The Vice �President said, �Centralization with all of its forms will end and powers of developmental work and implementation of projects will go to the governorates directly, a situation which realize the basis goals of services and economic development. The most important thing is securing security and stability as they are the foundation of development for there is no development without stability.�
In his meeting with notables and sheikhs of Mareb governorate in Sana�a on Sunday the Vice-President said attacking tourists is considered a hindrance in the dace of carrying out projects the governorate needs with regard to education, electricity, waters, public health and roads. Mr Hadi pointed out how the governorate of Mareb is receiving attention of the political leadership represented by President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
