Almotamar.net - The Specialised First Instance Criminal Court in Yemen on Monday condemned four of the followers of insurgent Abdulmalik al-Houthi issued a death sentence against the for the perpetration the crime of killing two army men, one of them an officer and the wounding of two others.
In its Monday sitting chaired by Judge Muhsin Alwan the conviction in the case No. 46 for 2007 stipulated death sentence against defendants Dhaifallah Shaaban Mhawish, Mahdi Dhaifallah Shaaban Mhawish (at large), Hamdi Ali Shaaban (at large), and Salman Ahmed Hassan (at large). All of these are accused of killing Major Ahmed Abdullah Fadhil and Ali Dhaifallah Ali Jazie and the wounding of Mohammed Aidha Saleh Jarfan and Dhaifallah Ali Jazie.
The indictment included the defendants had on 10 April 2005 and in participation with an armed gang carried out criminal act aimed at attacking a group of people who were with government and against al-Houthi and that attack was under orders from leader of the insurgency Abdulmalik al-Houthi. They had prepared machine-guns and ambushed in Dahish area and seeing a military vehicle coming they opened fire on it killing two of the military men in the vehicle and wounding others.
