Almotamar Net - Local Administration Assistant Undersecretary Akram al-Sheikh said Monday that until the Monday evening 260 observers representing local and foreign civil organisations were supplied with special cards to facilitate the task of getting acquainted with procedures of the elections of the mayor of the capital and governors of the provinces decided on 17 of this month.

Almotamar.net - Local Administration Assistant Undersecretary Akram al-Sheikh said Monday that until the Monday evening 260 observers representing local and foreign civil organisations were supplied with special cards to facilitate the task of getting acquainted with procedures of the elections of the mayor of the capital and governors of the provinces decided on 17 of this month.

Al-Sheikh pointed out that many of those observers have already begun observation work at many of the centres for managing the election process in the governorates.

He added that special places will be allocated for the observers inside the halls when voting process begins in a way ensuring for them observe and monitor the progress of the elections.

He said the election process is going on in a democratic and natural manner and that is because of the good preparations and organisation made by the ministry of the local administration.
