Almotamar Net - The World Bank (WB) signed on Wednesday, in its capacity as the side that manages the Global Partnership Output Bases  Aid (GPOBA) , a grant agreement amounting to $6.23 million with two private sector parties for offering health care in Yemen, namely , the Saudi-Yemeni Company for the Health Care, Al-Mawarid Company for Educational and Health Services and a non-governmental Yemeni organisation for Woman Development  and Childhood (SOUL) , and that is for the improvement of health care for mothers in some of the areas of the Yemeni capital poorest areas. According to the Saba Queen for Safe Motherhood it is expected that 40000 of women at the reproduction age in the city of Sana'a would receive a group of services of good health care "the group of mothers and children", according to definition of the World Health Organisation (EHO), i.e. pre-birth care, the presence of experienced midwives ay the time of birth giving and the care after giving birth as well as services of complicated care.

According to a press release obtained by almotamar.net the project of the GPOBA would lead to enhance the efforts aimed to achieve the goal of reducing fatality rates of children and improvement of the health of mothers as among the development goals of the new millennium by directing services to the women whose capability for gaining services of basic health care are limited.
