Almotamar.net - Appeals section at the Specialised Criminal Court has fixed the sitting of next Monday as a date for spelling out judgment in the case of Hamad Ali al-Dhahouk and Abdulaziz al-Hatabani condemned of holding contacts with a foreign country.

The Appeals section has held several sittings to consider the case. The general prosecution demanded the court to confirm the verdict stipulating the execution of Hamad Ali al-Dhahouk and Abdulaziz Hussein al-Hatabani after their condemnation of holding contacts in favour of a foreign country. Meanwhile the court listened to the appeal statement presented by the defendants that challenged the preliminary verdict.

The First Instance Criminal Court had on 16 of last February condemned al-Dhahouk and al-Hatabani on charges of communication and illegal contact with a foreign country and offering misleading information harming Yemen and its diplomatic and political status and its foreign relations. The court sentenced the defendants to death.
