Almotamar.net - The non-governmental consultative committee on the follow-up of implementation of the election platform of President Ali Abdullah Saleh said it has followed up and assessed implementation of the platform and presented periodic reports directly to the President of the Republic on the level of accomplishment of the platform over the past two years.

The committee affirmed it has referred two reports on what was finished of the components of the platform for which the President had won confidence of the people in the presidential elections of 2006.

Chairman of the Commission Dr Ahmed Omar Bamashmous said the commission has endeavored sincerely to present to the President the actual image of the level of governmental accomplishment of the points of the presidential electoral platform. Its members made large review of the Yemeni government matrix translating the President's platform and steps of achieved ones of that matrix, in addition to the field visits to a number of governorates to be sure of the level of accomplishment and comparing accomplishments to some of international reports appraising the performance of the Yemeni government.

In a statement quoted by the Yemeni news agency Saba Dr Bamashmous made it clear that the committee concluded in its report that there is an actual and great accomplishment achieved in the most important strategic points of the platform.
