Almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh received in Sana'a Thursday the visiting Chairman of the Council of Russian Federation Surgey Mironov and his accompanying delegation. The Russian official conveyed to the President a message from the Russian President Dimitry Medvedev dealing with bilateral relations and areas of joint cooperation as well as means of enhancing them. The message also dealt with regional and international issues and developments of common interest especially developments in the Middle East and the Horn of Africa.

The message also included an invitation to President Saleh from the Russian President to visit Russia. The meeting also discussed aspects of cooperation of the two countries, among them cooperation in parliamentary, economic, military and security and different levels. President Saleh praised the speeding developments of the Yemeni Russian relations, considering them as developing historical friendly relations.

He has also affirmed keenness on consolidation of cooperation between the two countries in different areas and friendly peoples. The President asked the Russian official to convey his greetings to President Medvedev and the Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and his wishes for them of good health and for the Russian people ever progress and prosperity.
