By:almotamar.net - AMRAN- Security Department in Suraim district, northern governorate of Amran, has arrested two men at the backdrop of shooting incidents that claimed the lives of a man and injured two others, one of whom is an independent candidate for local elections.

In a statement to the motamar.net, head of Suraim Security Department, Murad al-Ghoraibi, said, "Two people have been arrested at the backdrop of murdering a man. Efforts are now being made to settle the problem."

The problem began Friday when the independent candidate asked another candidate, who belongs to a political party, to withdraw his candidacy applicant for his interest, which the other candidate refused.
Local sources said they already had problems over a water project.

This incident occurred while a Sheikh in the governorate has ordered to finance tribal figures, who belong to the General People's Congress (GPC), to run as independent candidates for the local elections.

Al-Nass newspaper has revealed a plan for the Joint Meeting Parties to incite tribal violence among GPC candidates during the electoral propaganda campaigns.
