Almotamar.net - Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and External Relations at the General People's Congress GPC Sultan al-Barakani ridiculed reports published in some media tools on his tendering his resignation to the President of the Republic.

Al-Barakani said , " We at the GPC possess a large space of for expressing opinion and discussion however different the opinions were and the believers and committed members in the GPC have nothing of what indicated in those media instruments on resignations inside the Yemen ruling party as long as the right dialogue and discussion is guaranteed to its members , let alone any leading member, assuming leading posts to be unable to perform his duties or to find in resignation an outlet for him."

Al-Barakani confirmed his belief and conviction in the GPC under leadership of President Ali Abdullah Saleh, the leader of the GPC and his close relationship with all of the GPC leaderships. He said the day following the date of his alleged tendering of his resignation he was accompanying the President in the visit to the Liquefied Natural Gas strategic project and attended all meetings of GPC General Secretariat and the General Committee in the following days in addition to his chairing of different committees entrusted with chairing them.
