almotamar.net - The Vice President Abid Rabu Mansour Hadi on Tuesday received Chairman of the Korean National Company for Investment in Oil & Gas, his Vice Chairman and the accompanying delegation, currently on a visit to Yemen.

The VP welcomed the company that works in Yemen in four areas for extracting oil and the block 4 of the company has begun production and there are very good results in the blocks. In some days there will be an announcement on the productive capacity of the first well of block 70.
In this regard the VP praised the perseverant activities for speeding up the process of production, stressing welcome of the political leadership, represented by President Ali Abdullah Saleh, of expanding activities of oil and gas exploration and extraction and the readiness for offering all forms of support and help for developing partnership in this regard between the two sides in the manner leading to realization of joint benefits.

For his part the Chairman of the Korean company affirmed his looking forward to developing production in the next year to reach 20 thousand barrels per day, pointing out that increase in the company�s investments that exceed $100 million would have quick returns due to the present signs.

The company�s Chairman also affirmed full interest in working with high rates to reach the aspired for results as soon as possible. He also praised the support the company receives from all concerned officials in the Yemeni government.
