Almotamar.net, Saba - Vice President Abduh Raboh Mansor Hadi attended on Sunday a ceremony of launching 2009 training operational year for air forces.

The Vice President called on the armed forces to bear their historic responsibility regarding the democratic option of the Yemeni people and to take part in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

In the ceremony, the vice president conveyed regards of President Ali Abdullah Saleh to the armed forces, highlighting role of the air forces and armed forces in general in defending the sovereignty of the nation and maintaining security and stability as well as strengthening the social peace.

He pointed out to the developments took place in armed and security forces under sponsorship wise leadership represented by the president Saleh who concerned to modernize military and security institutions.

The vice president called on armed forces to participate actively in coming parliamentary elections that are scheduled in Yemen on 27th April 2009.
